Our beginner classes introduce the fundamentals of Bellydance in a supportive, structured environment. You’ll learn basic movements and technique while developing musicality, body awareness and confidence.
Already have some dance or Bellydance experience? We offer several levels so you can continue developing your skills as you progress.
Not sure where you belong? Don’t worry. We can help you choose a level, and if you register for one class and decide another level is a better fit, switching classes is no problem.
What is Bellydance?
At Duniya Studio, our teaching focuses primarily on Raqs Sharqi, a style of dance practiced throughout the Middle East and North Africa. Sometimes we also throw in a little Egyptian folklore or other Arab folk dance for variety. We focus on respecting the cultural history and context of these art forms.
We believe Bellydance is more than learning a series of movements. It’s about musicality, expression, technique, cultural understanding and finding your own way of moving.
