{"id":3881,"date":"2026-06-30T12:17:02","date_gmt":"2026-06-30T16:17:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/duniyastudio.com\/?p=3881"},"modified":"2026-07-05T20:20:24","modified_gmt":"2026-07-06T00:20:24","slug":"pricing-update","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/duniyastudio.com\/?p=3881","title":{"rendered":"Pricing Update"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Pricing Updates: Keeping Dance Affordable While Supporting a Growing Studio<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p>At Duniya Studio, one of our core goals has always been to make Bellydance accessible, welcoming, and affordable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As our studio continues to grow, we&#8217;ve had to take a close look at our costs and find ways to balance affordability with the realities of running a small business. To help us do that, we&#8217;re making a few updates to our pricing structure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Goodbye to the Credit Card Convenience Fee<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Let&#8217;s start with the good news.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We are eliminating the 3% convenience fee that was previously added to credit card payments. Whether you pay by credit card or another method, the listed price is now the price you&#8217;ll pay (plus applicable taxes).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">HST Will Now Be Applied<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Beginning with upcoming registrations, HST will be added to class fees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We know nobody gets excited about taxes, but this isn&#8217;t a studio surcharge. It&#8217;s a government requirement, and the tax collected is remitted directly to the government.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">New Student Registration Fee<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>New student accounts will now include a one-time registration fee of $10.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This fee helps cover the administrative work involved in setting up and maintaining student accounts, processing registrations, and managing our studio systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The fee applies only when a new account is created. Returning students will not be charged it again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Our Commitment to Affordability<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Like many organizations, we&#8217;ve seen the cost of rent, software, payment processing, insurance, advertising, and event production continue to rise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We&#8217;ve tried to make these adjustments thoughtfully so that we can continue offering quality classes, workshops, performance opportunities, and community events without dramatically increasing tuition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Most importantly, we believe that everyone who wants to dance should have the opportunity to do so. We never want money to be the reason someone stops dancing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If finances are making classes difficult to afford, please talk to us. We regularly have opportunities for students to earn discounts by helping with tasks that support our community, such as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Putting up flyers<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sharing events on social media<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Volunteering at recitals, haflas, and workshops<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assisting with other studio projects<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Many hands make light work, and our community has always thrived because people contribute in different ways.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Thank you for being part of Duniya Studio.
